Carol Barkley

Carol Barkley

Carol Barkley is a respected veteran in California’s charter school movement. From 2003 to 2010, Carol served charter schools from within the California Department of Education, first as a consultant and then as the Director of Charter Schools. She served on the board of the National Association of Charter School Authorizers, represented the State Superintendent of Public Education on the California Advisory Commission on Charter Schools, and participated on the advisory board of the Center on Education Governance at the USC Rossiter School of Education and task forces for the U.S. Department of Education.
