Carol Barkley is a respected veteran in California’s charter school movement. From 2003 to 2010, Carol served charter schools from within the California Department of Education, first as a consultant and then as the Director of Charter Schools. With her expertise, charter school developers have secured charter approval and renewal, developed meaningful strategic plans, secured grant funding (Carol has a career track record of 100 percent in grant writing), and created value-added LCAPs. She is a strong believer in school choice and has a passion for working with quality charter schools. She is proud to mention that her own grandchildren are thriving as charter school students.
